I tasted all 25 vintages where the real standouts were the 1997, the 2000, and the 2016. I feel the very young 2019 is also at the level of the 2016 and worthy of a perfect score. On the palate it is just brimming with ripe red fruits, pretty floral notes, cream, black cherry, and blackcurrant flavors with superfine, elegant tannins. This 2019 is a wine with great tenacity and energy. It is still not completely formed yet but all the wonderful ingredients are there for this to be a great wine with a long life.
