Over the last two vintages I’ve found significantly more purity and liveliness in the wines. Winemaker Fabio Ratto explained that for the past four or five years the team has focused more on expressing terroir and Sangiovese character rather than pursuing a house style. If you’ve previously found these wines too powerful and oaky it’s time to give them another chance. Both the Brunello and Rosso have improved drastically."-Eric Guido
