Celia Welch Notes: “The 2018 vintage of Barbour Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of gooey blackberry pie, sweet cocoa, black currant, and plum notes. These combine with dark cherry, black tea, nutmeg and brown earth on the lush and bold palate. The tannins are typically Barbour and are chewy and present, yet approachable. Dark fruit flavors dominate the lengthy finish. Harvested by-hand from grapes grown on our dry-farmed vineyard.”
Jim Barbour is one of the best viticulturists in Napa Valley having cultivated many prominent vineyards in the valley, including Hundred Acre, Grace Family, Checkerboard, Blankiet, Revana, Harbison, Keever, DR Stephens, and his estate vineyard on the western side of St. Helena which is produced by winemaker Celia Welch.
