The 2017er Wolfer Goldgrube Beerenauslese was harvested at a whopping 170° Oechsle, i.e. technically at TBA level. This offers a stunning feel of pear, date, almond paste, honey, whipped cream and smoke. The wine is beautifully clean and refined on the palate and leaves a gorgeous and delicately oily feel of dried fruits, zesty acidity and almond paste in the long and multi-layered finish. The after-taste seems endless. This is a great BA in the making!

Yellow cherry jam and grapefruit marmalade are mingled with honey, marzipan and caramel on the nose and the glycerol-rich, seductively creamy palate of this colorful bottling from fruit harvested well into TBA territory. It finishes with prominent but not excessive sweetness, a soothing sense of saturation, a mouthwatering lick of salt and prodigious sheer persistence. Very much a wine with a future!
