Joseph Colin, son of Marc Colin and brother to Pierre-Yves, brings serious pedigree to his own label—and his “Mes Sept Terroirs” bottling is a great introduction to his style. It blends fruit from seven lieux-dits in Saint-Aubin, showcasing a full snapshot of the village’s mineral, high-toned Chardonnay character.
The 2023 vintage was fresh and balanced, with good acidity and precise fruit. This wine was fermented with native yeasts, aged in neutral and lightly used oak barrels, and bottled with minimal intervention. There's no heavy toast or bâtonnage here—just a pure expression of terroir.
Expect aromas of citrus, white flowers, and crushed limestone, with a palate that’s both linear and textural. It’s a classic Côte de Beaune white, but with a brightness and drinkability that makes it enjoyable young.
If you’re a fan of Saint-Aubin, or looking for something in the Puligny/Chassagne orbit without the price tag, this overdelivers.
