"Benoît Marguet is unequivocally one of the finest producers of Rosé in all of Champagne and his Shaman Rosés are always exceptional values. This is certainly true of the Shaman 20 Rosé, which is composed of a blend of seventy-five percent chardonnay and twenty-five percent pinot noir in this vintage. The wine was disgorged in May of 2023 after twenty-two months aging sur latte and is non-dosé. The bouquet is bright and already beautifully expressive, delivering scents of strawberry, tangerine, brioche, a lovely base of chalky soil tones, rose petals and a topnote of orange zest. On the palate the wine is focused, complex and full-bodied, with a beautiful girdle of acidity, lovely depth at the core, fine mineral undertow, elegant mousse and seamless balance on the long, complex and very elegant finish.
