Collection: Lamy Pillot Boudriotte

Boudriotte was essentially Red wine country for wine making purposes, then Ramonet came along and started making an exception Boudriotte Blanc.

Lamy Pillot owns a decent size parcel in Boudriotte and a few years ago, after studying the soil, Sebastien Caillat thought that he could do better...and 2023 brings us the very first vintage of Lamy PIllot Boudriotte Blanc.

We are still buying the red wine, of course!

What makes Boudriotte interesting is precisely what makes it underrated. It doesn't have the immediate flamboyance of Morgeot or the name recognition of some of the grands crus just up the slope — it earns its reputation quietly, through texture and minerality and a persistence on the finish that takes a few sips to fully appreciate.

For collectors who have already worked their way through the obvious Chassagne bottles, Boudriotte tends to be the one that stops the conversation.

It is, in short, the kind of vineyard that rewards people who do their homework.
