This premier cru originates from vines dating back to 1953, making it one of Alain Chavy's most historic holdings in a vineyard where only three producers make wine—Domaine Leflaive controls most of Clavoillons, with the Chavy brothers splitting small parcels between them. The wine displays impressive mineral depth and a tightly-wound structure designed for cellar aging, balancing intense stony character with bright citrus notes. The 2022 vintage proved exceptionally generous and high-quality across the Côte de Beaune after a string of challenging years.
