The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Thorey 1er Cru is a worthy follow-up to Cathiard's over-achieving 2021. There?s fabulous delineation on the nose; this blossoms in the glass with vivacious red fruit laced with minerals - aromatics that positively sparkle. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannins. It is full of tension with superb weight and depth on the graphite-tinged finish. This seriously fine Aux Thorey is destined for long-term aging.
