The 2020 Saint-V?ran Champ Rond (yes, the vineyard is round, or rather like a dome) is a worthy follow-up to their excellent 2019. With impressive complexity on the nose, this offers scents of yellow plum, beeswax and light limestone aromas. The palate is well-balanced with a keen line of acidity, taut and fresh, and fine tension. While not powerful, the oak (15% of the blend) is neatly integrated and lends fine weight to the finish. Recommended.
