Just about pure perfection, the 2022 Riesling Scharzhofberger Sp?tlese has a level of purity and precision that's hard to describe, but wow, what a joy to actually drink. Lychee, tart white peach, honeyed mint, and an incredible, liquid mineral-like character all define the aromatics, and this beauty hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a layered, absolutely precise, chiseled mouthfeel, perfect balance in its acidity and sweetness, and incredible length. Riesling doesn't get much better than this, ladies and gentlemen.
