"The 2019 Rosso Simbiosi opens in the glass with hauntingly dark violet florals and balsamic spice, complicating crushed blackberries and ashen stones. This is surprisingly lifted and energetic, with silken textures contrasted by vibrant acidity as masses of tart red and black fruits saturate the palate. It finishes with a pleasantly bitter sensation and grippy tannins, all offset by a twang of sour citrus as a savory herbal thrust punctuates the finale. The 2019 is youthfully intense yet balanced for a long and steady evolution. This is a blend of 85% Aglianico and 15% Piedirosso raised in a combination of barrique and tonneaux."-Eric Guido

"This is a terrific blend of 85% Aglianico and 15% Piedirosso with lifted and radiant aromas of cherry, cassis, grilled herb, blue flower and crushed stone. The 2019 Simbiosi is a wine that always shows special energy and life, and this medium-bodied vintage is especially vibrant (with a hint of sour fruit on the close). I happily recommend this beautiful wine, one of the shining stars of Benevento. This production of 8,000 bottles ages in barrique for 12 months and fruit comes from 18- to 25-year-old vines."-Robert Parker
