ForteMasso's Langhe Nebbiolo 2024 is a vibrant expression of the Nebbiolo grape, cultivated in the esteemed Langhe region of Piedmont. The wine presents a bright ruby red hue with subtle purplish highlights. On the nose, it offers clear and pervasive floral notes of violet, complemented by fruity aromas of raspberry, cherry, and plum. The palate is harmonious, full, and savory, leading to a slightly dry and pleasantly fruity finish. Produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, the wine undergoes fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, with daily pumping over to extract color and aromas. After a brief maceration period, the must is racked and left to ferment at a controlled temperature for several more days. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in steel for a few months before bottling in the spring. This meticulous process ensures a wine that embodies the fruity characteristics of the Nebbiolo variety, making it an excellent companion to Piedmontese starters, white meats, and fresh or medium-mature cheeses.
