This is old-school Rioja done right by a family producer who doesn't cut corners. The wine comes from 40-year-old vines, mostly Tempranillo with a little Graciano and Garnacha thrown in, and they age it the traditional way—two years in American oak barrels plus another year in bottle before release. You'll find classic cedar and tobacco notes weaving through earthy, savory flavors, backed by red fruit and that bright acidity Rioja is famous for. The extended aging gives it a silky texture and complexity that's ready to enjoy now but will continue to develop beautifully over the next few years.
