"The 2018 Les Brussellions from Louis Boillot is also an outstanding example of the vintage, with a bit more inherent power than either the Les Rouchaux or the V.V. bottling. The bouquet offers up a fine and more primary black fruit blend of dark berries, cassis, bonfire, roasted pigeon, espresso, a complex base of dark soil tones and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is very pure, full-bodied and rock solid at the core, with ripe, seamless tannins, fine focus and grip and a long, nascently complex and promising finish. Though this wine is more powerful in personality, it shares the exquisite balance of the other 2018s chez Boillot."-John Gilman
