Ian D'Agata 95+ points  "Deep red with some ruby. Spicy aromas of red and dark fruit, minerals, chlorophyll and licorice. Then savoury and saline, with flavours veering more towards Oriental woods, herbs, mushrooms, cedar and violet rather than sweet fleshy fruit. A more compact, cooler-styled Barbaresco Riserva, boasting a minty eucalyptus note that is even more pronounced in cool, years. Less developed and open on the finish and still youthfully tannic but very elegant. The Produttori coop is the only winery bottling a Muncagota wine, so the vineyard is less-known compared to other Barbaresco crus."-Ian D'Agata
