Producer Description:

The Rousseau family has passed down a great winemaking tradition in the Touraine region from father to son for four generations beginning with Alphonse Rousseau at the end of the 19th century. Jacques Rousseau followed his father in 1930 and was succeeded by his son Jacques in 1960. Today, brothers Bernard and Michel keep the tradition alive with a serious eye on elevating the quality of wines produced at the estate with every vintage. The exploitation is comprised of 18 hectares in total. 15 hectares of the three pinots (pinot noir, pinot gris and pinot meunier) and 1 hectare of each: Gamay, Cabernet Franc and Côt. All of the vines are located in the village of Esvres.
