The Tinta Negra is the most planted grape on the archipelago of Madeira. In recent decades, H&H has sought to highlight the virtues of this grape which, in the hands of excellent vintners, shows remarkably with age. Sourced from an estate formerly owned by the Mayor of Câmara de Lobos, the original cask was from the 1952 vintage. Complex, sweet, tinged with tang, mandarin, spices alongside a rich texture. This is a first bottle to have an age statement with the grape Tinta Negra, formerly referred to as Tinta Negra Mole and is therefore an historical bottling of great significance on the island and especially to the Henriques & Henriques family.
