A.J. Adam - Riesling Kabinett Dhron Has'chen 2022
Mosel Fine Wines: 91 Points
The 2022er Häs’chen Kabinett, as it is referred to on the front label, was made from fruit harvested at 80° Oechsle on 90-year-old un-grafted vines and was fermented in Fuder down to barely fruity-styled levels of residual sugar (45 g/l). It offers a superb and hugely aromatic nose with almost Sauvignon Blanc vivacity including cassis, even a hint of ‘cat piss’, grapefruit, whipped cream, and white melon. The wine is nicely juicy and surprisingly creamy on the palate and leaves a long and slightly melon-infused feel in the finish. The aftertaste is long, creamy, subtly citrusy, and subtle. - Jean Fisch and David Rayer
