From one of Burgundy's best-kept secrets, this old-vine Nuits-Saint-Georges comes from 60+ year-old vines farmed without herbicides or pesticides since 2007. Bruno Desaunay crafts terroir-expressive wines using indigenous yeasts, minimal extraction, and neither fines nor filters his wines. The 2018 shows dark, concentrated layers of blue and black berry fruit with subtle salinity and energizing acidity. Aged in around 33% new oak, this delivers the power and structure expected from Nuits-Saint-Georges with remarkable purity and focus.
