(Domaine Genot-Boulanger Meursault Clos du Cromin White) The 2020 Meursault Clos du Cromin has a well-defined nose, quite straightforward, with scents of grilled walnut and touches of almond. Delicate, precise. The palate is quite fresh with orange rind notes on the entry. I appreciate the tension and focus here. There is not immense depth or matière, but there is pleasing freshness and sense of energy on the finish. Worth seeking out. Fleshier up front, white fruit throughout but more lemon scented at the back. Fair acidity, middleweight Meursault. Lovely fresh aftertaste.
