Produced from sustainably grown, 50-year-old Chardonnay vines, just outside of the town of Fuisse, this white is a pure stunner. Golden in the glass, the wine opens with notes of fresh orchard fruit, lemon zest, and almond blossom. On the palate, the wine is fresh and mineral, finishing long and with a dusting of baking spice.
Domaine Curveux is a small, family owned vineyard stretching across 8 hectares in Fuissé, Solutré and Chaintré in Fuissé, right in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. Today the business is run by Guillaume Curveux, who worked with his father Joel for many years before taking the reins. Specializing in Chardonnay, with vines ranging in age from 6-70 years, and sustainable production, the estate has been HVE (High Environmental Value) certified since 2019.
