Terroir: 1er Cru Chambolle Musigny Les Fuées sits north of the village of Chambolle and is directly adjacent to and shares the same terroir as the Grand Cru Bonnes-Marres. Domaine Faiveley’s .5 acre parcel lies mid slope directly bordering Bonnes Marees. Exposure is east to southeast and soils are shallow with limestone and red clay.

Vinification: Grapes are hand harvested and sorted upon arrival at the domaine. Following a short maceration the must undergoes primary fermentation in a combination of stainless steel and wooden vats. The young wines are aged in 70% lightly toasted new oak barrels for 14 to 16 months.

The Domaine of Faiveley is situated in the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Burgundy, France. Wine runs deep in the Faiveley family’s blood. Seven generations and one of the largest owners in Burgundy, with holdings spreading from the Côte de Nuits to the Côte Chalonnaise, featuring polished, collectible reds and whites with exceptionally high ratings. Today it is managed by Erwan Faiveley and his sister Eve Faiveley.

A tightly woven texture embraces the cherry, black currant, spice and mineral flavors embedded here. Mint hints and floral accents add depth as this cruises to a long conclusion. Excellent acidity drives the fresh aftertaste. Best from 2023 through 2045. 30 cases imported.
