A winemaking consultant by trade, there’s little in Montalcino that Enzo Tiezzi hasn’t done. He’s been winemaker at countless estates, but finally bought his own estate in the 1980s. Vigna Soccorso is the vineyard that surrounds the estate’s buildings, in the shadow of Montalcino’s town walls. 

"The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Soccorso is darkly seductive with a rich blend of crushed plums, cedar shavings and cocoa lifted by mentholated herbs. This is round and supple with masses of ripe wild berry fruit and inner violet florals energized by brisk acidity. A wall of grippy tannins emerges through the finale, balanced by a staining of primary concentration as the Vigna Soccorsofinishes are structured and long.
