Dominique Le Guen has been dubbed a 'producer to watch' by his esteemed Chambolle based neighbors. Fruit for this Bourgogne Rouge comes from the village of Chambolle Musigny and is entirely destemmed. Balanced, bright, and fruit-forward, this chuggable red is the perfect 'Burgundy on a budget' bottle.
The 2021 Bourgogne Rouge is quite floral on the nose like the Passetoutgrain, with good definition, raspberry and mulberry scents gaining intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit and fine tannins. It puts on weight towards the bright finish. Lovely. (NM)
