This is a serious vin de garde that requires additional cellaring to show its best. It offers red plum, raspberry and cinammon spice on the nose. On the palate, it reveals good concentration on a round palate with firm tannins on the finish. Made semi-carbonic, the wine is aged 8 months in used oak. The southeast facing 2 ha vineyard parcel at La Rochelle overlooks the winemill that gives the appellation its name.

This perfumed wine has some serious tannins as well ripe blackberry flavors. Acidity and juiciness chime with the dry core that comes from the structure and wood aging. Drink this wine now or let it age until 2021. RV
