The Ravauts are unique in making both red and white Grand Cru from this site which has but 2 owners. The soil has a lot of clay which makes for a sturdy, rich wine which ages superbly. No official reviews for the 2017. The vintage produced a nice crop of well balanced, accessible wines which were attractive right from the get-go. Anne Krebheil of The Wine Enthusiast rated the 2018 94 points and commented “What is evident is the texture, offering the density of fine tannin and ripe but fresh fruit. Freshness and vanilla for now play equal parts but this wine will emerge from its shell.” We will eventually offer the 2018. At this point the 2017 is bar far the easier to drink and enjoy.
