Jean-Marc Burgaud - Beaujolais Villages Les Vignes de Lantignie 2023
James Suckling: 92 Points
I love the violet aroma of this elegant and juicy, medium-bodied Beaujolais. A delicious wine with a good structure and healthy tannins, without that making it bold or heavy. Long, moderately dry finish. From four hectares of vineyards with 45 to 70-year-old vines. Fermented and matured only in concrete tanks.
Wine Advocate: 90 Points
The 2023 Beaujolais-Lantignié is medium-bodied, buoyed by bright acidity that enlivens its blackberry and raspberry tones. A noble spice and sweet soil essence add nuance, while its generous volume envelops the palate. Powdery tannins gently coat the cheeks, conforming to the wine’s outline. Plush and gourmet, this cuvée, along with Les Charmes, is best to be enjoyed in the nearer-term while waiting for the other wines to soften.
