Meo Camuzet - Corton Perrieres 2016

The parcel of vines in Perrière that Jean-Nicolas Méo works with here were planted in the late 1950s and are now really starting to get into a nice point in their productive lives. The 2016 version here is a classic Corton in the making, offering up a fine nose of black cherries, stony soil tones, venison, espresso, woodsmoke and cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bdoied and still quite primary, with a rock solid core, beautiful structural elements, ripe, seamless tannins and a very long, soil-driven and youthful finish. This too will be excellent Corton with sufficient bottle age. (Drink between 2031-2075)
